This usually happens when you try to play a PAL SVCD on an NTSC tv.

If you live in an NTSC country you need to encode your movie in 480x480 and make sure your dvd player is set to NTSC mode.

If you live in a PAL region you need to encode your movie in 480x576 and make sure your dvd player is set to PAL mode.

Please tell us what country you live in and how you encoded this SVCD.

This can also occur if you hook your dvd player up through your vcr.

Hi, i got the same problem w/the same player when i tried to play nysc discs. Your Svcd is probebly in ntsc, but no problem, the player supports both pal & ntsc, check the manual & try diffrent settings on the player. It eventually work w/my player after playing around a little.
