Because I find it very useful - I thought that others may too:

"ImgBurn DVD-Video Shell Ext" is a Windows Shell Extension which gives you a context menu item to launch ImgBurn and burn your VIDEO_TS folders. I.e. right click on any folder named “VIDEO_TS” and you will be able to burn the DVD-Video with ImgBurn!
    Updated to v1.2...

  4. ChrissyBoy, Question? Does it only burn the VIDEO_TS folder? I like to put text files and images from covers that have been created on my DVDs. That way if I ever decide to reauthor I have everything. Sometimes I even put webpages on there too.

    Thanks

Yes it does (at the moment). A DVD with VIDEO_TS & AUDIO_TS is created...

What is the folder layout in your own case? Do you have parallel folders to the VIDEO_TS folder which contains the extra content?

    good idea!!!

However, how about using the root folder name of where the VIDEO_TS is to label the DVD...right now it uses ImgBurn default for the ISO label, which is boring ....also, your program over-writes the speed settings you can set in ImgBurn; it sets burn speed to max, which is not a good idea. For example, bad media like Ritek is best at 4x, so if you have imgburn set at 4x previously, your right-click will override this to max and burn will likely be poor. Also, Imgburn with the right-click will only check drive previously used for a blank and ignore the other one. So if your blank is in the wrong drive program just closes. Can you make these improvements?

    Awesome first one though!!!!

  8. Well I'm lazy? the DVD to be burned may have JPGs and a html and folder holding the files referenced from the html file. or sometimes just a text file and sometimes the file holding the settings saved when authoring.

They always play of course. right now I'm using Nero or DVD Decrypter if I shrink to an ISO. IOWs I can always run shrink even on a DVD that doesn't need to be shrunk to fit and have it output an ISO and then use DVD D or imgburn to burn the ISO. Trouble with using shrink is it ignores some non DVD files as far as I can tell.

Okay. When i get a moment (monday, tuesday is the most likely) i will add the following options:

    - burn not only V_TS & A_TS, but all that is in the same parent folder.
    - use the V_TS parent folder as the DVD label.
    - not to use the MAX speed.

They will probably just be registry settings for "non-standard" users...

Checking for which drive the blank media is in is probably not possible as all I am doing here is sending switches to ImgBurn and I can't see how that can be done at the moment...

also, please make sure, since this is DVD, that you tell ImgBurn to burn ISO9660 + UDF, it should do this automatically, as this is what pressed DVDs use. The label from the parent directory would go IN BOTH labels here...one for ISO9660 and one for UDF.

    thanks

    Chris,

Excellent little extension! Especially since ImgBurn's own method of burning VIDEO_TS folders (wiothout making an ISO first) is somewhat less than intuitive!

    Thanks for this!

I can't believe I've been a member for 3.5 years! Back when you and I joined it was mostly VCD & SVCD as I remember it.

Ok. I have posted a new version (1.1) which:

    - Does not dictate "MAX" for speed and so uses the same settings that you had previously within the program.
    - Waits for you to add your media (if you have not got it in the right drive)
    - Burns EVERYTHING found in the parent folder of the VIDEO_TS folder
    - Makes the volume label as a ISO9660: length 32, [A-Z|0-9|_] based on the parent folder to the VIDEO_TS folder... This is the best i can do ATM as I can only tell ImgBurn to use one volume label...

If you have downloaded before (and you want these new bits) - you will need to redownload.

  20. They sound like neat improvements as I really prefer to burn at less than MAX. However it it 5:24 when I checked your page and it still shows 1.0?

    Thanks for your efforts

? What is ATM as used here "This is the best i can do ATM"

  21. I was just browsing your Download page and wondered if SVCD2DVD also handles MOVs? If I install the Demo version do I have to reinstall if I decide to buy? I'm thinking yes? Since you say "Full version with no limits is available to registered users in the Registered Users Area."

    Thanks

The Shell Ext disables the Win+E hotkey on my system. I installed it and uninstalled numerous times to confirm it. Has anyone else encountered this?

  29. Does adding this feature to the shell use memory? I'm not very familiar how shell programs work. Is it memory resident program?

KiwiKid - i will take a look at this issue.

Wile_E: Shell Extensions are dlls that are loaded by the explorer.exe process. Anything that is loaded by a process takes up memory but the dll in this case is 80KB...
