Looking for reputable and reliable outlets, preferably in Victoria, for buying Verbatim +R DL discs for under $5 per disc. The best I can find at the moment is an outrageous AUD$5.50 each. At that price it just isn't worth it. Any Aussies buying these discs for reasonable prices ?

Could check out eBay, I picked up 2/20 packs of +R DL (verbatim) for $12.15 each on a dutch auction that's USD plus postage from the US. Total I think was about $84 odd AUS dollars.

They arrived yesterday, are made in India haven't tried them yet. Worked out about $2.10 each disk.

I think there is a guy in Canada selling on eBay, think he wants something like AU$50 +AU16 shipping to Australia for a 20 pack.

Go to ebay.com.au > Verbatim DVD+R DL > see whats listed.

There is a post around here about the Indian produced Verbatims. The verdict seems to be that they are crap, and on par with pretty much any other DL disc except Singapore manufactured Verbatims. Hopefully you have more luck with them.are made in India

I am loathe to buy anything like this from eBay, as I have had a few DVD purchases prove to be less than what was advertised in the past. I want to be able to pick up the discs, look at the labels, and know I am getting what I paid for.

edit : found the Indian discs post : https://forum.videohelp.com/topic337093.htmlRead my blog here.

Is your dollar really "going up" or is it just staying the same while the $USD goes to pot?Originally Posted by guns1ingerWant my help? Ask here! (not via PM!)

According to XE, $1CAD = $1.13AUS, so yeah, screwed. Last time DL +R Verbatim were on sale at Futureshop (Canada) they were $19.95CAD or $29.95CAD per 20 pack. These are 6X and Made In Singapore. No failed burns on the many that I have used....

Ships worldwide but, shipping price may kill the savings. might be worth an inquiry.

That's the guy I got mine from, shipping for the above auction to Australia is $37.99US.Originally Posted by GideonK

Probably worth asking where they are made.
