I need a freeware that can shrink audio files but without losing quality. And if possible, without losing information of the file eq.artist name, album, cover art,etc.....
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays! or rip iTunes movies!

not much usable info to go on there newbie. one would assume you are talking about mp3 files but could be others. most likely mp3 to mp3 with lower bitrate. loss of quality is a given in any re-code to lower bitrate.

But as minidv2dvd stated, not any real useful info on your part!!!
What are you starting with ?? what do you want to end up with ??
How do you want to be able to play them ??
Oh boy... 2 hours later and a ton of speculating...... -
Try FLAC codec. Its free, there are plenty tools around to convert almost all the audio formats to FLAC, and you do not loose a single bit of quality of the audio files, but gain a lot in terms of sizes.
