Hi guys,
I use Subtitle Edit and need to make EBU STL subtitles in Russian. I faced a problem with encoding. After opening the saved file, all text in Cyrillic turned into rows of question marks. I tried using both Unicode and 1251 Cyrillic but with no result. I don`t face such an issue with other formats (srt for example) but the file must be in EBU STL.
Is there a way to convert it back into Russian and avoid the problem in future?
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays! or rip iTunes movies!

In EBU STL export window, try with "Character table" set to "Latin/Cyrillic". Hope this helps.

Thanks! It helped together with changing Code page number from 437 (English) to 866 (Russian).
