  1. How do i convert Layer - II mpeg audio from 44.1 khz to 48 khz and then join it with mpeg layer - 1 video? I wanna burn Family Guy episodes to a dvd to watch as a dvd-vcd.

I have had no luck with any software. What is a good thing to try???

    Help!

mpegpowertool will re-encode audio from the sampling rate of 44100->48000

what software are you going to use to author to dvd? if you are using dvd studio pro you dont need to remultiplex the streams it expects elementary streams as input. if you are using IDVD.. well good luck because it is limited to 90 minutes and doesnt accept mpeg.

  3. Thanks a lot!

I will be using DVD Studio Pro, but does it accept Mpeg Layer 1 video??

I'll give it a shot with the re-encoded audio.

    Thanks Bilestyle!

i think this means you are missing a binary file... do you have mp2enc installed? remember, mpegpowertools is just a gui interface for the (hopefully) installed binaries.

    hope this helps.

i think its about time for me to dredge up some of my oldddd programs and do some work on em real quick to patch up some things.. it does sound like your missing the mp2enc binary, it needs to be installed into the /usr/bin folder if i remeber correctly. off hand i cant think of anywhere specific that you can download JUST that binary.. if anyone has a suggestion to throw up for the time being till i can fix whatever may be wrong with mpegpowertool feel free to do so
