I have already used TMPGENC to encode 8 AVI files and used the highest quality settings which took hours.
Following the instructions for freeware tools I demuxed and rename audio files etc and am ready to burn.
Again following instructions I am using IFOEdit but it only appears to let me add one video track and that is it. It does make the files required by Nero it would appear in the VIDEO_TS directory I made but I want to have all 8 files playing one after the other.
I have 8 video tracks and the DVD burner cam with NeoDVD which sort of works but it appears to re-encode the MPGs which I don't want it to do.

How can I use IFOEdit propertly or what free tool is available that will not re-encode the MPG2 files?

    AFAIK, that is correct.

You could try joining the mpeg together in to one large file. TmpGenc mpeg tools merge and cut can do this. However I have had audio sync problems when using VBR mpeg files so be careful and check the mpeg before authoring/burning.

Otherwise try downloading a working demo of one the more poular DVD authoring apps such as Ulead DVD workshop, that will probably fit your needs.

I dowloaded Ulead DVD Factory 2 and even paid for it.

When I play in the viewer at the end of each track it keeps going back to the menu. In NeoDVD you had the option for each track of going back to the menu or simply playing the following track.

How do I do this in DVD Factory?

    THanks

  4. I think Ulead DVD Workshop may be able to do this but I don't think moviefactory can, though I can't be certain as I am not a regluar user of either. If you have NeoDVD and that allows you to do this then why not use it?

I am not using Neo DVD because it wants to re-encode my MPG2 files which I made with TMPGENC on the highest quality settings over a number of days and I want that quality in my DVD.

My SVCD of the same video looks slightly better than the DVD version at the moment for eg.

These videos I have made myself with Panasonic DV camera and it is latin dancing which has movement and lots of colour etc.

I went to the ULEAD website and I thought I was downloading what was recommended.
