JVC XV-N44SL won't play vcd!

Hi
I bought this dvd player ,
now i'm trying to play some vcds but it won't even recognise it.
i have tryied many softwares to decode to vcd format and softwares to burn it none of them worked!

i had toshiba dv-1800 , that one plays it all ,

can somebody help me.

Is it a standalone DVD-Player or a DVD-Drive for your PC?

Anyways, if it's a standalone it possibly doesn't support CD-R. So try burning your VCD on a CD-RW.
If that don't work it does not play CD-RW either.
