  1. Hey everyone!

First topic here. I searched the forum for several days before I decided to create my own topic, because I didn't find any help or answer related to what I want to do.

Here's my problem: I got 2 DVDs (it's a concert that's on 2 separate DVDs) with 5 VOB files each but I only want to keep the first 3 VOBs from DVD1 (3 GB altogether) and the first 2 VOBs from DVD2 (1,3 GB altogether).
So I've got these VOBs but how can I create the IFO and BUP files in order to burn the DVD? I rename the VOBs from DVD2 so now I got:
    - VTS_01_1.VOB (DVD1)
    - VTS_01_2.VOB (DVD1)
    - VTS_01_3.VOB (DVD1)
    - VTS_01_4.VOB (DVD2) instead of VTS_01_1.VOB
    - VTS_01_5.VOB (DVD2) instead of VTS_01_2.VOB

I tried with IFOEdit and it just does weird things...like creating 170 different chapters for the first 3 VOBs and ignoring the last 2 VOBs.
I tried DVD2One as well, using the IFO and BUP files for DVD1...and it ignores the last 2 VOBs as well. I'm pretty sure it's because I used the IFO from DVD1 but I don't know what to do!
I obviously do something wrong and I'm not sure if it's even possible but I'd really like to have only one DVD for the concert instead of 2, so I don't have to change DVD in the middle of the show. Maybe renaming the VOBs from DVD2 is not a good idea?? Should I try with the originals IFO and BUP files (I've got obviously 2 batches: one for DVD1 and one for DVD2)? What should I do with them?

Please help me out! I'm on this problem for more than a week and I'm kinda lost here...

    Any help would be appreciated!

  2. you'll need to re-author it.. basically merge the mpeg2 & ac3's the way you want them through maestro and import a chapter list.

  3. So I can't do it without re-authoring the DVD?
How am I supposed to get MPEG2 and AC3 files from the VOBs?? And what is Maestro, I don't know this software? How can I create a chapter list, do I need another software?

  4. Well, I guess it's not a really popular question...so there's no way I can do it without re-authoring the DVDs??

I'll try to find that "Maestro" software then...
