I've got a strange problem. Hope someone can shed some light on what I did wrong.
I use Adobe Premiere 6.5 to capture analog NTSC tapes through Canopus ADVC-100 as avi files. Captures at 720X480 and 48000mhz. I then use TMPGEnc to convert into MPEG-2 files for SVCD output.
Scenario 1: The captured avi file with no edits in Premiere is fed in full into TMPGEnc 2.5 using project wizard. TMPG accepts the source file without a glitch and I complete my task.
Scenario 2: The captured avi file is edited in Premiere and then the timeline is exported as 'movie' in avi format into a new avi file. Now, this new avi file is fed into TMPGEnc 2.5 using project wizard. TMPG comes up with an error that says, "file cannot be open, unsupported".
What have I done wrong in Scenario 2? Can someone please help me?
Thanks,
Halley, Singapore
