Whenever I burn a VCD with Nero 5.5, I find that there is always a 2-4 second gap between the different tracks. Is there anything I can do to keep this from happening?

You can set the pause time to 0. Right click on the track and go to properties. This should cut down on the wait time but how long it actually takes to switch between tracks depends on your dvd player. With most dvd players there will always be a noticable pause.
There are programs which can author true chapters into vcds and svcds which allow seamless playback, however nero cannot do this.
