  1. Heya,

I just got ffmpegX and installed every thing correctly or so i thought... when the terminal window pops up it tells me there are certain files missing from the resources file. When I open the resources file, they appear to be there. Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction. Also which is faster in authoring a DVD, Transcoder 1.1 or ffmpegX?

    Thanx,
    Mullet

you didnt run the other part of the installer
    note there are two parts

one will install the necessary files, the other the app itself

likewise, you have to locate mplayer, mencoder and mpeg2enc files before the program will work all the way

    Changelog.rtf
    Credits.rtf
    ffmpegX
    Subtitles windows-1250.pkg
    Subtitles iso-8859-7.pkg
    ffmpegX engines installer
    Subtitles iso-8859-1.pkg
    Subtitles iso-8859-2.pkg

this is what you should have in the installer.
drag all of these to your harddrive, then run teh ffmpegx engines installer. You will need to located the items mentioned. If you dont have them let me know and ill host them for you to download, or you can get them from sourceforge

I don't know what the problem is here... maybe i should try to get rid of everything and reinstall... I have dev tools... so that shouldn't be the problem... I dunno what to do

    thnx,
    Mullet

  6. Move the ffmpegX application in the Application folder of your main hard disk. Don't use spaces or special characters in disk names and folder names.
