  1. Here is my problem,

I try to frameserve with virtualdub and it locks up my TMPegenc big time. Then when I try to open tmpeg afterwards, it won't open. It runs in the background because it is in my system tray. So I have to uninstall and reinstall tmpeg to get it to work.

Is there arnother way to just permanently add subtiltes in a movie? I already have the divx file and I have the subtitle file. Can I just burn the subs directly into the divx file somehow?

Install latest ffdshow from www.doom9.org .
Run the ffdshow configuration(start menu->ffdshow->configuratio). Enable the subtitles(click on the subtitle box).
Name the subtitles to the same name as the video file but with a .sub or .srt extension instead of avi.
Open the video in tmpgenc and the subs should be there(use the file->preview to check so you see the subs).

  4. I was very excited to see that it worked!

However, I was only able to get it to work for one movie.

The other movies I try give me nothing but sound and no picture or subs. I raised the priorities in Tmpgenc but it has had no effect.

Vobsub's little green arrow comes up when I load the file too. When I play the avi now, the subs automatically play.

I Unisntalled VOBsub and I got the picture back but no subs.

    Any other suggestions?
