Had this happen which I had not heard of before. I was recording a movie using the E30 on Verbatim in SP mode. The movie was 100 minutes. When I checked the recorder towards the end of the movie the counter read 15 minutes. I checked the direct navigator after hitting stop and the movie was divided into two programs. I don't know if the recorder stopped and restarted or what. Anybody else ever experience this? I've recorded at least 3 discs a day since last November and thinking I may be wearing the machine out. In the past week I received the "cannot copy" message when trying to copy a tape I recorded off TV, hit record a second time and it started. Also in the past week had the counter freeze while recording but the rest of the display remained normal. Had to shut power off to stop it. I was error free till this past week and if the recorder is going kaput I'll pick up another E30 cheap while they're still around.
