I'm thinking about creating a home multimedia center (PVR, DVD player, MP3 jukebox). If I use the Hauppage 350 card that can output to the TV, do I still need a good video card? My first thought is that if the 350 is capturing and also connects to the tv, then a video card would not affect the quality. But I could be wrong
Also, would like suggestions on software for tv tuner, DVD playback, MP3 jukebox and comments also on using Linux versus Windows.
Thanks,
James
