Like many of you I am very frustrated at the lack of a reasonably priced reliable program that allows some creativity! Any gossip as to when any new products may hit the market?
    Thanks

  2. First of all it depends on your definition of "reasonably priced reliable program that allows some creativity". Let's face it it some people think Sonic DVDit is the greatest thing since sliced bread, while others won't look at anything else unless it's Scenarist.

Adobe are touting their new DVD authoring program called "EncoreDVD". The blurb is on their web site. It will cost $549 when released in the summer.

Sonic DVDit is fine in terms of creativity, it is just so unreliable! So many crashes!
I m sure that Adobe will as allways set the standard

DVDlab will hit the market soon, you would be wise to wait. to see this under $100 product. See www.mediachance.com for info. I believe the author (Oscar) plans to release it soon.

DVDlab looks like exactly what I have been looking for.
Let's hopw Apple doesn't buy it in it's first week like with SpruceUp!

  6. If you go to www.filemirrors.com and search for DVDLab you can download what I assume to be the beta (I haven't tried it yet).

  7. Or you can go to mmbforums and DVDlab section to find the link to the pre-release.

Most people can do great DVDs with this version while others will need the release to make their projects work.
