  1. I need some advice on making a video montage. I'd like to make something similar to the example on this page: http://www.emrepictures.com/montage/# Essentially, I'd like to have pictures on the screen for about 10 seconds, and then have a transition from image to image (fade into each other). But when the picture is on the screen, I don't want it holding still. Rather, I want the image to slowing be crawling across the screen, or maybe slowly zooming into one part of the picture. I don't want steady images on the screen, I want it moving slowly across. I did some investigating and found out he's using Apple Final Cut Pro, but unfortunately I don't have a Mac. Also, I tried Pinnacle Studio 8 and it was great for the transitions, but I couldn't get the photos to move while they're on the screen.

Any advice on other programs to try? Or does anyone know how to make Pinnacle Studio 8 move photos they're showing on the screen. I don't care if I have to save the whole thing as an MPG, just so long as they're moving/zooming.

I've been able to make slideshows like the ones you are talking about. I use Adobe Premiere. You have total control over the images and once you learn how, it is be easy to make a slide show exactly like the example you linked to. Give Premiere a try.
