    In the past I have played steaming news clips on windows media player while having my TV out enabled and recording from the TV out on my ATI card with a VCR. I tried this again today and the Windows media window shows up, but not the streaming content within. I'm not sure what changed. Is there a way to re-enable this so that the content comes through?

    Any hacks or registry tricks?

    I figured it out!

    I reduced the color from 32 bit to 16 bit and it worked like a charm.

    Also, I ran an S-video from the video card's TV out, to a second computer also equiped with an ATI 9700 AIW card and captured the clips direct to mpeg-2, thus eliminating the need to go to VHS 1st.
