    I read some tutorials, and they start out by ripping the entire dvd, but what is I just wanted to rip like certain parts of the dvd, is this possible?

    You mean certain scenes out of the main movie? Yes, get the VOB complient version of VDUB. You can then encode or frameserve as needed. Or, use DVD2AVI and the VFAPI plugin, then encode from there.
