I've got a avi file to burn to VCD, half way through the film the screen starts coming up with little multicolored squares on the screen then the media play crashes out. I've tryed Nero & Ulead to publish as a VCD but these crash out as well when it gets to this part of the film. If you open the film and fast forward to just after the corruption there is no problem. Anyone got any ideas?

Why don;t you use the tmpgenc tools, merge and cut and remove that section of the film.
However if you do this I think you will encounter huge problems with the audio.
Is the file a one which you have ripped yourself ? -
Thanks for replying, no it's one I've down loaded. I thought about cutting it out, I was just hoping there was another way of doing it.

I had the same problem with a file I played around for ages cutting the part out, encoding that playing around with the audio and I could never get it to work.
So I downloaded it again and it was quicker to do that then all of the time I had spent playing around with the files.
Good luck
