  1. I ran it tonight for the first time on a 7.7GB DVD9 movie and with some messing with the now 9 levels of compression was able to get the final files down to 4.447GB while keeping the main movie files at level2 compression. The end result is crisp image quality and it took about 30 minutes to complete.

I did notice that the preview window was messed up on my win2000 system with the image completely out of the window off to the left on my desktop. Also it was totally borked just a bunch of garbage to view. Anyone here seeing this?

I do like this free program however I think it still needs a few tweaks to make it a gem. First messing with the compression levels is a hassle so what I would love to see is a simple pull down box like DVD2one where I can then just set the compression for all the extras at one time. Better yet have the program figure out the best level/extras ratio. Also there needs to be a "movie only" selection for those that could care less about the menus and extras.

  2. I'm running Windows XP SP1 and haven't had such such a problem. The preview pane works and looks just fine. I also tested DVD Shrink 1.03 on What Dreams May Come (the whole movie including extras) and the quality was really good! I just keep in mind that this program is free, so you take what you get. This new version is much, much better than the previous version which has only been out less than a week!? I am most appreciative because a program like this won't be free forever.

  3. Hey I'm not complaining, I just want a program I can stick with so I'm not going from one program to another. Also I have no problem paying for this program should the author decide to sell it.
