  1. I was wondering approximately how many Megabytes do menus and chapters from VCDEasy take up?

I know that on DVD Movie Factory they take up about 80Mb or so usually.

    Thanks.
If everything is infinite then nothing is definite.

Chapters don't take up any space at all. As for menu's it depends on how much bitrate you use when making the mpg still, in other words what you set the quality to in VCDEasy. Once all of your stills have been made just highlight them all and see how many mb's windows reports them as. That's roughly how much space it will take up on your disk.

You can adjust how big you want your stills to be which will also effect your quality. You can choose up to 220KB so just multiply the number of pictures you have by the size you made them.

    littleguy:

    (Using v1.1.5 in example)
Menus in (S)VCD is done with I-Frame MPEG Stills, or optionally MPEG video. These stills can be created with VCDEasy in the [Tools] section/[Mpeg Stills] tab, using jpg or bmp (maybe others).
The interactivity and navigation feature of Menus is done in the main [(S)VCD] section/[Interactivity] tab. You just apply the Default/Next/Previous/Return/Numerical selections how you want it to be laid out.
If you also want HotSpots, you have to manually add that later to the XML file via a text editor.
