DVD-R Lockup on DvD Player

I have a Pioneer DVR-105 burner. I've been successful in burning some of my home video with CCE and authoring with Spruceup, then burning with Nero. There are no problems playing those in any of my standalone DVD players.

The problems come when I try and make a backup of my DVD movies using Decrypter and coverting with either InstantCopy, DVD2One, or DVD95Copy. The crazy things will not play in my DVD Player. They hang up, skip, or just plain stop. Sometimes it's so bad I have to turn the DVD Player off and on again to get the disk out. I've burned with Nero (That screwed up the Menus), I've use Recordnow and Prassi, all with the same results. I've used Cheap disk, then read about the media problems and bought Memorex, and Maxell DVD-r. I have ruined about $50.00 worth the DVD's tring to make this work. I read on here all the time of the success others are having, so I know it can be done.

The one disk I have working was a backup without menus. Has anyone else seen a difference between burning with menus vs. without menus other than quality? I'm very open to suggestions.

I've had freezing myself in the past but each time it was either related to either the media I was using OR recently to the fact that my burners laser was out of alignment and had to be sent in for repairs. I've also never seen Nero affect menus in anyway.

I've personally not found the disk you listed to be some of the best out there. Do this, find a store that carries apple disk and buy a 5 pack which should cost about $15, burn a disk full of data, any data will do. Then read the data back off the disk from a DVDrom drive, if it reads back properly then there is something wrong with your process not your software persay, if not then you might want to troubleshoot the burner itself or the process. I'm talking about data, even if its a DVD movie its still data, since a DVD player can be picky treat it on your PC as Data to troubleshoot.
