  2. Try DVDx. Its an all-in-one program. Dont have to rip the movie from the DVD.

I used it when i was learning. However, I now prefer TMPGEnc.

No, there isn't. VCD is a Fixed format. That means fixed bitrate + fixed CDR size = fixed maximum length of movie.

This isn't rocket science, stop trying to do the impossible. You want 2 hours of movie on 1 disk, you have to do it in DVDR or DivX/XviD.

You can try xVCD, but you will have to see if your player will support it. Personally, I wouldn't bother, since the quality will be so bad that it's not worth the effort. VCD is mediocre at best compared to CVD/SVCD/DVD.

You can also try xSVCD. I have several 2 hour xSVCD single disk movies. They look like VCD's, but then the resolution isn't 480x480. A 320x240 VBR MPEG2 stream is possible, just not as good as full SVCD. It also won't play on most players, but it was a fun experiment.

the qucikest way would be to use easyvcd. it gives you the out option of # of blank cds you want to use plus format(vcd, svcd, xvcd), hit enter, do whatever, when its done you have a mpeg file that you just drop into nero and burn. limitations are longer movies ie: godfather, LOTR, scarface. i use it when i am pressed for time and just want a quick dvdrip.it will work with 99 min cdrs, 90min cdrs and 80 min cdrs, hope that helps....bloo

  6. I have had great success with https://www.videohelp.com/forum/userguides/84759.php.
I do have to lower the bitrate and sometimes the audio rate to make it fit. I know this discussion will turn into a "why do you want to do it that way" and the reason is I don't have a DVD burner and I like it this way. When I get a new computer I will then go for better resolution and audio quality but am satisfied with the results at this time.
