exactly what i am saying, i am constantly on this site as well and would like to see a trade forum started...i will take full liability for everything i say and im sure all members whom are interested would be happy to oblige...CAN O MOD PLEASE MESSAGE ME IF THEIR IS ANY PROBLEM WITH THIS IDEA...other wise by popular demand i think we can starta trade forum here, if only to give out emails and im contacts you see...HOLLA BACK VCDhelp Members

It's all well and good for you to say you'll take responsibility for things, but that's not how the world works. Just the existence of such a thing would cause some company with lots of money and lots of lawyers to file a lawsuit - big companies have enough money that they don't even need to win, they just need to make it more trouble than it's worth for the other guy. Plus they can buy themselves a couple of judges who will sign anything their lawyers bring in.

A trading forum involving any kind of electronic media would instantly fill up with people trying to trade illegal copies anyway. If you just want to trade tangible goods like hardware there are entire web sites devoted to online classified-ad listings.

totally understandable and cool....but i would just like to know if the mods for instance would like to share their email addresses or have some one go online everynight on messenger(use shifts)..and maybe answer questions about what people are going through making their vcds..i dunno...ill be willing to help...the trade thing now sounds a lil whack on my part..sorry

Thats true. I am sure swapping electronic media would spell alot of trouble....Unless you traded an original for an original as opposed to a back up of a copy of a copy your next door neighbours brother in law lent you one sunny afternoon....Hell I don't mind would instanlty increase my collection...... but ....the laws people,the laws....maybe it should be limited to tangible video hardware .....

As far as real time help, this site has irc channels on dalnet, #vcdhelp and #dvdrhelp. We certainly aren't organized enough to run shifts, but on any given day you will be sure to find at least one mod drop by to help. We field quite a few questions there each day.

There are other sites specifically reserved for trading various items, namely backups. Incidentally, many of them have been shut down for legal reasons. I can't speak for Baldrick, but my guess is that the only thing that was intended to be traded on this forum is knowledge. I think opening this forum to trading would subject this site to serious legal issues.

im totally cool with that, and i understand the legal issues where you are coming from......in fact the irc chat room was gonna be my next question...know that youve cleared that up for me, il be hanging in there more often...hope to see many of yall
