  1. I've come to the conclusion that Pinnacle Studio Delux 8 AV/DV is not very condusive for the health of my computer. Not that Pinnacle Studio Delux 8 AV/DV doesn't work, it does...But there has been a couple of times that it's crashed my computer and at one point I've had to do a system restore.

So what I'm thinking of doing is adding a external firewire hard drive for video storage. So here's my question...

Would it benifit me to uninstall Pinnacle Studio Delux 8 AV/DV and reinstall it to the new hard drive to compleatly seperate Pinnacle from my OS and other installed programs? Or would it be enough just to keep all the video files seperate?

    Thanks

  2. You CAN'T seperate the prog from the OS. There will still be registry entries, .dll files, etc. and they will be on your OS drive. So installing to another drive may fix the problem initially, but won't necessarily prevent it from happening again.
