  1. At first it seemed to allow me to encode 1 video, then when I would start the next, it would restart my out of the blue. I'd try that 2nd file, and it would encode fine, and then the next one would restart me.. Now it just restarts me everytime!.

I've tried downloading and installing different versions of tmpgenc. But I seriously don't know what to do. And I did turn off the windows option to restart the computer upon an error.

help please! I have many videos I need to encode and I'm not getting anywhere because of this problem..

  2. btw, I found another topic with someone who had the same problem. Just a little clarification, a week ago, and for many months i've used it to encode MUCH longer/bigger videos than what I'm trying to do now, and never had any problems. This has just started happening.

Could be faulty RAM. Find and download a version of MEMTEST and run it for a while and see if it reports any memory errors. You may find that even reboots your PC too (it did on mine).

If it is faulty, try tweaking your BIOS settings or replacing the RAM.

My PC only ever crashed with TMPG, CCE or one particular game. Since I replaced the RAM it's been fine.

I did find that there were several versions of MEMTEST - try a few of them.
