Anyone out there having good luck with audio-sync using Sony's pass-through for long captures?
I have a GV-D200 tape deck which permits passthrough. The audio-sync becomes progressively worse throughout a 2-hr capture. Toward the end, there is probably a sec or two difference--NOT acceptable. Other posts have reported the same problem.
Using the same source material (laserdisc), I have no audio-sync problems with my ADVC-100. Only problem is that I like the video output on the Sony (less saturation and graininess).
Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated.

I'm curious about your comment about "saturation and graininess" in the output of the ADVC-100. I've never had anything less than a perfect video capture with mine. What exactly are you referring to? Maybe your settings aren't right...
By the way, good luck getting any other device besides the canopus to capture synched audio and video. Virtually impossible...(my personal experience). -
I also capture DV to AVI via Sony pass-through, and have only had probs with audio-video sync when capturing to AVI-type2 format -- AVI-type1 works fine.

Update: For those looking through the archives -- I've been using Scenalyzer for the last year and transferring DV-AVI to AVI-type2 with no sync problems.
