(NEWBIE) How to capture video from sat

Hi i am new to this and what i want to do is basibly capture movies from my satelight to my computer and then burn them in dvd format.
now i have a ati rage 128 video card with video in on it, is that enough to capture video. also what software is the best for what i am trying to do. and do you need something special to get the audio in ? or can you use the audio in port on your sound card ?

As you can tell i am really noob to this any help would be appreciated thanks.

Did you read every thing you could over in the convert section at your left??
Converting from Sat is the same as VCR.

what section is that ? is it in the Capture Cards section ?

I am not sure which how to guide i should follow. none of them really specify how to capture from vcr. any help is appreciated
