What file system is on your drive ?
If it's not NTFS, then you'll have file size limitations~~~Spidey~~~

I don't normally use Premiere fpr capturing, but I'm pretty sure I've experience the same limitation (even with NTFS) when I have tried it. Is there anyong that can positively confirm that they do capture files greater than 4GB in Premiere?

If your drivers are VFW based, have you tried alternatives like VirtualDub or AVI_IO instead?
