  1. Hi,

I have some MPEG files I'd like to convert to SVCD. Some are MPEG-1 and others are MPEG-2 files. If I try to create an SVCD with Nero, it takes a while to analyze each file and sometimes brings up an error saying it's the wrong format and would I like to convert it etc.

I'm just wondering if there's a real fast way of determining if an MPEG video clip is MPEG-1 or MPEG-2 format? With AVI files, I can right-click on them (in WinXP Pro) and bring up the properties to see the resolution, codec etc. but I tried the same thing with MPEG files and it doesn't tell me what format they are, what resolution etc.

    Thanks!

    mysticgohan17,

Could you clarify that? I'm familiar with the TMPGEnc tools, but how do use them to give you info on bitrates and resolutions?
