  1. I had a reasonable hunt but couldn't find this answered in any of the forums (if it has been please direct me there)
I would like to trim the beginnings and ends off some mpeg1 music video clips that i have so they look a bit tidier when i compile them on a vcd.
I would like to do this without losing any quality is this possible and if so how do i do this? I have after effects, premiere, virtual dub & tmpeg at my disposal or is there something else out there that would do it for me without too much heartache (and preferably freeware)
thanks in advance for any advice and sorry if this sounds like a dumb question i couldn't find anything newhere on the subject.

TMPGenc can do this just fine.....

Open TMPGenc and cancel the wizard if it starts. Select file/mpeg tools then hit the merge and cut tab. Set "type" to mpeg1 then click "add" button and browse to your video file. Highlite your movie and hit the "edit" button...move the slider to where you want movie to start and then click the { button. Then move the slider to where you want it to end and click the } button and then click OK. Now click "run" and it will clip the movie for you.
