i just went to ATI's web site and seen that they have new drivers and software. It said something about having to buy the new version of MMC 8.1 i think. is this true? also i remember that when 7.7 was released i had to downgrade to 7.6 for it to capture correctly. any help will be great. i have an All-In-Wonder Radeon 7500 64mb DDR.

  2. I have the same card as you and I upgraded to MMC 8. You don't have to buy anything unless you want to use their DVD player. I like the improvements. You can customize the buttons that decide what quality you capture at and there is something called video soap that smooths out the captured video in real time.

I suggest you use Go Back or System Restore in case you don't like it.

well i'll try it then. if i get a new dvd-rom drive ( mine quit working ) i will just use a third party dvd player software. i will try the new software. are there any problems upgrading to the new version like they had with 7.7? ( i couldn't capture so i had to go back to the 7.6 version.)

  6. Also if you update your Guide + software your new settings buttons will show up when you go to record a show.

Is that "Video Soap" function any good? I'm still using 7.5 and my analog cable has lots of noise. That would help out a lot on encoding time if it does a good job (anti-noise filters are slow!).
