I was wondering with help from the community here if there is a way to contact Panasonic regarding updating the firmware for a CV-290 Home Theater 5-Disc VCD/MP3/DVD player (all silver colour which comes with a 600W Receiver and 5 speakers+sub) so it can play SVCDs? Right now, it simply skips when SVCDs are played unless you hit the FAST-FORWARD button but then the sound is screwed.
It plays MP3s but depending on how its encoded they skip throughout certain songs. Newer RV31 and RV32 Panasonic players do not have this problem.
I've heard there is a way to contact Panasonic in a certain way to make it look like the unit is in need of an update and they'll ship a disc that will upgrade it! Possible?
Thanx all!
