I've created a few home-made DVD, but the problem is that the frame size is too large for the TV. I start with an uncompressed (Huffy) AVI and encode with TMPGenc @ 720x480 (using the DVD NTSC template). When I play it back, about 20-50 pixels get cut off all around the screen. Say for example it was a video from MTV.
If it was titled*:
Britney Spears
"Oops, I did it again"
It would show up as:
ney Spears
s, I did it again"
Is there any way to maybe put a border around the video so that the TV will clip blank space, rather than the video? I know that there are crop and resize options in VDUB and TMPG, but I don't think those will work in this case.
*I don't actually have any Britney videos. That's just for example.![]()

There is a clips size filter in TMPG
You may want to frame serve and re-encode to add / adjust the borders using avisynth and CCE
or
VirtualDub (see under Video / Filters) into TMPG
Either way you look at it, unfortunately, if it cut that off on your Mpg encoded version, you will have to re-encode the source.~~~Spidey~~~
