What's the difference between a Mixed Mode CD and CD Extra? Suppose I want to burn an Audio CD, and use the remaining space to put some files, such as a video (playable on a computer), a text file of the lyrics, and other such stuff. Which method would be best for this?

CD Extra is basically a more compatible form of mixed mode. Both allow you to add additional files to video or audio but mixed mode cds didnt work on all hardware players. It would sometimes try to play the data track instead of the audio or video track, resulting in static.
For your purposes it really doesnt matter which format you use since it seems you want to view the cd on your computer. But for compatibility reasons I think CD Extra is better.
