I ripped Red Dragon using claddvd.net 2.99 beta. I am making a vcd and there are 2 ac3 2h selections. I tried both of them and both make my .wav file that I need for tmpgenc, but I don't get the correct sound to the movie. I am getting perfect video and two men talking about the movie for the sound. I can vaguely hear the actors talking on the movie in the background. I thought that this may be how the movie is, so I opened the dvd in powerdvd and it played like a normal movie without the men talking.
I have tried to rip this everyway possible. Even in the dropdown under frameserve, I've tried all 5 of the audio selections to go with my selection of English AC3 2H.
What could be going wrong with this?

Okay, I am going to use dvd decryter to rip my files. I can see in there that I have to enable stream processing. In the list the only choices I have for english ac3 2h are the director's comments. Besides french and spanish, the only choice I have for engish audio is to use ac3 6h. I guess that means that I'll have to make this an svcd instead of vcd. Correct?

You obviously ripped the wrong audio stream. Done that twice myself - Pretty annoying, I must say. On both occations, the 2 ch AC3 stream turned out to be the commentary sound track, while the 5.1 stream was the real movie sound. There's nothing preventing you to still create a VCD. Just decode the 5.1 AC3 to a 2 ch WAV.
