SVCD does play on DVD player

i downloaded a music video and i downloaded TMPGEnc. I try to convert the video so that it would play on my DVD player. I followed the instructions HOW TO: CONVERT. It supposivly converted the video and then i tryed to burn(the new file) to a cd using roxio CD creater 5. when i tryed playing it in my DVD player it wouldn't read it, what did i do wrong?

As far as I know EasyCD Creator does not have a SVCD profile. In addition to creating an SVCD compliant MPEG-2 file, you also need to burn using an SVCD burning profile/template. I suggest you try VCDeasy or Nero to burn using their SVCD profile.
