  1. someone told me spruce up would load an ac3 file with an m2v file no problem so i encoded the video only over night and now it wont does anyone know any dvd programs that will accept ac3 as the audio?


    also theres 3 diff movies so i need to make a small menu as well

  2. not sure what you are doing, and I have never used SpruceUp, however, I know it will accpet .ac3 files as well as .m2v files. If it doesn't, then you've probably done something wrong. There are many other authoring programs that will accept those files in order to allow you to author, Maestro is one of them.

  3. Look the left under Author. Spruce Up is sort of a 'slimmed down verison' of DVD Maestro (also made by Spurce Technologies before they closed shop), I know that Maestro takes ac3 files so I would think that Spruce Up would too.

    Freeware wise, IFOEdit can mux everything (no menus) to DVD files for you.

    Of course, if NTSC, it has bugs which at least for "me" make IFOEdit not even a remote option.

  5. To get spruce up to accept Ac3 files, simply place the .m2v file and the .ac3 files in the same directory, giving them both the exact same file name with only the extensions differing. When you import the .m2v file into spruce it will automatically import the matching named Ac3 file.

  8. well heres what i did maybe i did somethring wrong...loaded avi in vdub extracted wav.....used besweet turned wav into ac3 loaded avi in tmpgenc and converted to m2v (video only) and placed in directory with ac3 what did i do wrong?
