Has anyone had any problems with DVD2ONE, as i have been making bloody coasters now for the last week and i am getting really cheesed off

I am first putting the movie files thru DVD DECRYPTER, which is fully updated, then thru DVD2ONE, which i can't seem to update atall as there is nowhere on the DVD2ONE website to do this, and then finally burning with NERO.

The DVD when played in any player, will play 99% of the movie without fault, until the end, when in the last chapter or near the end, the quality gets up and buggers off, and the picture and sound quickly follow.

I have tried using PRASSI and RECORDNOWMAX to burn instead of NERO, but to no avail, still getting the same chuffing problem!

The only other thing i can think of is the dvd media i am using, but i have used the same discs for about 30 others and they have always been fine. Any thoughts from any one would be appreciated

    Many thanks,

    DAN.

  2. i used the same software and i haven't had any problems. how big are the dvds you are burning? if it takes up the whole dvd then that might be your problem. some media when the entire dvd is used the ending of the movie has play back errors. so if thats the case make the file size smaller or try didffernet media. i usa accu myself and i never had any problems with them.

The sizes generally vary, but they are always less than 4.5 gb. In DVD2ONE i only ever select the main movie, then one sound, and angle 1.

The media i am using is Bulkpaq G3.

Have you tried this method of burn using Nero. This is how I do my disks.

HOW TO BURN A MORE COMPATIBLE DVD WITH NERO (DVD-ROM UDF/ISO)

    1.open nero and close wizard
    2.in new compilation choose DVD(obvious),dvd-rom(udf/iso)
3.under iso tab choose only iso level1 and iso9660 (tick these boxes, leave others blank)
4.under udf tab tick the force compatibility mode box and this greys out the physical
    partition portion(this is ok)
5.hit the new button at the left hand side and drag and drop your VIDEO_TS and
AUDIO_TS(empty folder) to your new compilation
6.hit the burn button and when the dialogue box appears(to set write speed etc) hit write.
7.YOU should now have a disk that should play on your set top dvd player.
WHEN I DO THIS I CAN GET THE DISKS I DO TO PLAY ON MANY SET TOP BOXES AND PS2'S.
THE ONLY TIME I'VE EVER EXPERIENCED PROBS IS WITH PLAYERS THAT AREN'T MULTI-REGION.I also
use the latest version of nero when available.

    Hope this helps.

    Dan,

I have used DVD2One a few times without any problems. I have however had problems with my Ritek media if the dvd is larger than 4.2Gb.

Have you tried playing the movie off your hard drive before you burn it? If it plays fine from there, I would have to put my money on the media being the problem.

If its the media, try making the movie smaller.

    Good Luck,

  7. the problem is not the writer or dvddecrptor or even dvd2one its the crappy bulkpaq media as it doesnt work well for video. Its fine for date backup but if U consider the price of the disk compared to a slightly better one... say 10p well in the long run U wont waste as much money... if U can get them try datawrite yellow, whitelable or riteks for 1 speed disks & for 2 speed try datasafe classics 4 speed disks I'm not sure of at the mo but bulkpaq have a bad reputation where quality of media is concerned...

    Kev!

Thanks for everyones help, but as yet, no luck.

I have reduced the size of the file to 4.2 and that hasn't cured it.

I have tried DVDJET's method of burning with NERO usin the udf/iso mode and the disc i burned refused to play.

Last resort now i think is to try a different media, failing that, by a box of matches and some petrol and introduce them to my computer!

    Thanks again for trying everyone.

    DAN.

  10. I have the exact same problem. I am using Decrypter and DVD2One and Nero to burn. The movie plays great up until the end. The media I have problems with is no-name media from Supermedia.com (I think they branded it under their own name).

WHen I tried to burn it a Fuji DVD-r I had left it worked fine..... so the media is likely your issue.

I tried to limit the size (but just to 4400) so I'll try 4300 tonight and see if I can use the rest of my spindle.
