No Sound!!! Plz help

i juss downloaded the movie friday after next and it plays fine and everything but there's no sound, i have xvid codec, and acdfilter or whatever in too?? how could i get the sound to work

Hi bober,
I had just the same problem as you do and I was browsing the forum for an answer. Since I didn't find one, I searched for info in some of the guides and I finally found a way to solve the problem.
I first installed some codecs found in the nimo pack (the ones I didn't install before) and that just made things worst. My media players always crashed. Finally I downloaded a program called AVIcodec which tells you what codecs are needed to play both the video and the audio. It also tells you if you have such codecs installed or not. Plus it has a link to a website where you can find the desired codec. In my case, I was missing AC3 DVM and I downloaded it here. You can also search for other codecshere .
