Boy, is this easy & originals can be dvd9s or dvd5's. I use a Panasonic E30 dvd recorder fed by a macrovision-free Apex 1500 dvd player. I use Accu dvds (suggested for this recorder). Select subtitles if you want them first.
Can record up to 4 hours of dvds play time.
Play the first dvd & record in LP mode on the Panasonic.
Writes info to disk in about 30 sec.
Play the second dvd & record in LP mode on the Panasonic.
Writes info to disk in about 30 sec.
Label each recording, title & finalize disk (Takes only 4 minutes). This adds 5 min chapters & title to disk.
Done. They play on my PS2, Apex & Panasonic just fine. Just put in the dvd, they start automatically. Push MENU if you want to select from either recording. If there are two one one disk, the first plays automaticlly & the second plays automatically after the first.
As for quality, it's excellent. A Panasonic uses it's own recording method & you can adjust sharpness & a lot of other playback qualities with it.
