Hi, All !
Does anyone know of a "Free" Editing program simular to Quicktime Pro,Adobe Premier etc.I'm new at this and I don't know if I can even make a movie or copy one! I've got lots of time but little money and Quicktime wants around $30.00 for there program and I don't think they have a trial period. I've got all the "Free" tools to make a VCD in OS9 (Yade, mAC3dec,MM2C,etc. but, I still need a video editing program.I would very much like to just see if I can copy a DVD (back-up).
Thank's to All in advance![]()

For Cuts only in the MPEG-2 domain you're gonna find there's a dearth of stuff-even Premiere and Final Cut won't accept MPEG files to edit with.(not to mention iMovie. These programs can edit DV or QuickTime Captures only
Try a search for MPEG APPEND a freeware and simple (eg not flexible) cutting and joining tool -
Actually, Final Cut will edit MPEG-2 just fine, although it will be re-rendered when you export it. I use it all the time to edit MPEG-2's from my Replay TV.
