  1. I asked for some help on this a few days ago but nobody seems to want to help me

I've coverted divx avi to MPEG2 and the audio to wav Linear PCM. Next i need to author .
I've been using Ulead MF2 to author. I do this by putting the video in as first clip first play option and add the audio in replace audio. I test this on the preview and everything looks hunky doory. I set as NTSC as the original avi was ~29fps (NTSC) so i presumed it was best to convert and author as this. I also have the Do not convert Mpeg files enabled.

When burnt to DVD I have visual but no audio. Its really strange as when i check the files the audio seems to be their. I've checked the wav file using real player and thats ok. Is MF2 not recognising audio during the multiplexing? I have the 30 day trial is this causing all my troubles?

I have also tried burning using VOB instant CD/DVD but the same thing happens. Would there be a problem with the original avi being DivX?

  2. If you're using the "first clip to play" option, that's the problem...for some reason those won't play audio. I guess it's meant to be used for stuff like a quick logo intro of something to the equivalent of the FBI warning.

What you should do is NOT use that option, bring in your video clip, and uncheck the option to create menu if you want the clip to play as soon as it's loaded with audio.

    Hope that helps.

  5. Hello all,
I myself have some problems with moviefactory and no audio. I 1st converted a large avi to mpeg2 with tmpgenc. I load ulead and add video. I add chapters. I leave 1st clip as 1st play unchecked. My first problem is this.
    1. I create dvd forlders and in the end get a message saying some of the chapter frames exceed the total frames. All the folders do get saved in the moviefactory folder with no issues that I can see.
    2. I try to load existing project and it says it must do an edit disk and will not let me proceed.
    3. I try to burn the project directly to disk after creating menu and chapters. All I get is video. No audio. The format of course was ntsc and I did not change any other settings.

What am I doing wrong here?
