Gop

  1. I have searched and have not found a clean definition of gop setting. I see a lot of refrences to I's, P & B setting. But my card only has number settings. 1-15 for GOP & 1-5 for Sub GOP.

Is there some sort of refrence chart.

Having a lot of pixlation a scene changes. I've read that this is do to a poor GOP setting.

  2. If yoy are making DVDs then there are typical GOP sizes. Making GOPs shorter keeps more reference (I) frames which can reduce distortion but the filesize will be bigger. See the glossary for a bit more info

  3. Read the glossary.

I don't see the answer to my question.

Where do I need to set my GOP to avoid pixlation at scene changes?
