I was running a batch "2-pass VBR" with TMPGEnc and my wife inadvertently closed the window. While inspecting the .mpg files that appear to be complete, I really don't know if they finished the 2nd pass or not. Can I be assured that if the files show the last few seconds of the original .avi then it finished the 2nd pass or does this only asssure that the 1st pass was completed?

The program only does encoding (and mpeg file construction) on the last half of the process. If all of the video is there, written as an mpeg, then that file was completed.
