  1. Ok, i've got a strange problem.

I like DVD Maestro and learnt it quite easily when authoring a DVD backup and got good results. This backup was from fully ripped m2v and ac3 files.

But the last couple of days, i've been trying to put some captured videos onto DVD, they were capped from a AIW Radeon straight into MPEG2. I then demuxed them and changed the audio to ac3, giving me my m2v and ac3 files (this was after trying with mp2 and wav audio files. Stuck all this into maestro as 5 seperate movies with a simple menu. When I burnt this though, the player would show the menu but when selecting a clip, it would try to play it, not work and try the next movie until it had gone through all of them and back to the menu. It works fine on the PC though.

What bugs me though is that I ran these clips as they came, i.e Straight .mpg files into DVD Workshop, and created the DVD files which i then burnt and it worked a treat.

So, any ideas what the problem could be as I want to continue using Maestro.

    Cheers

I bet you burnt them with Nero too.

I've had the same problem on some Maestro authored Comp's.

First thing is in the VIdeo_TS directory, before burning you must delete a file Maestro adds with the .lay extension.

Secondly, give it a shot in Nero, but I have found that Prassi Primo DVD has worked flawlessly.

No matter how you burned it your problem stems from the .lay file though.
