  1. I have ripped a porn movie, converted it with DVD2ONE, and written with Prassi. Trouble is in this case the extras ( just adverts ) are actually part of the main movie vob set, and are actually selectable as chapters of the main movie. The movie runs to about chapter 50, and chapters 50 - 70 are all adverts. I want to do a movie only backup, so inspected the vobs more closely. Vob 8 is just adverts. But vob 7 is about 1/4 movie ( the end obviously! ), the rest of the vob being adverts. How do I split vob 7 to get rid of the adverts?

I assume I'll have to use IFO Edit, but don't know my way around the program at all. I've read people saying how easy ifo edit is to use, but it doesn't look that way to me.

    help appreciated

  2. move the vob in a new folder then......

grab an axe and start hacking away at your monitor

LOL..No really............do a search for a prgram called VOBSPLIT or u can use VOBEDIT to demux a vob by its cells and delete the cells u want and then remux the kept cells into one vob.

    USE vobedit..

    Open Vobedit.
Open the vob that you want to edit.
    Then demux it,
    press cell id.
put in a diffenrent destination folder.
look at all the small vobs that comes out of it with your dvd program
Decide which ones you want to delete, then delete them.
    Go back to Vobedit.
    Press edit,join cell vob titles.
point it to that destination directory and open the first vob there.
    Press save it.
When it is done rename it to the vob that it originally was. Like vob_01_8.vob.

Can't you just use IFOEDIT and strip out the vobID's that correspond to the crap that you don't want? That seems to be the easiest way to go.
