  1. hi im a newbie in this column, i just want some help or adviced from you guys! i've got a laptop pentium 3 1GHz, 256 MB ram, 20 gig HD, my software program is windows ME, i brought a software windows xp pro but when im trying to install it's showing SET.UP.EXE. is not a valid Win32 application! are there anything i can do so that i can install it properly? do i need to change/alter any program from my windows ME?.... guys i need your advice please!!!

  3. have you tried reformatting the computer then install windows xp pro. but then again you shouldn't have to do that either.

    how is a bought copy of XP a downloading error?

    my guess is that "set.up.exe" is not the same as "setup.exe" and is probably a non-valid file. I would return the disc to wherever you bought it and get a new copy.

    I would say that your file is a compressed file.
    But if it is a original Microshaft disc there is no file on there called
    (set.up.exe)
    take it back.
