  1. I need to make VCD's out of my captured material, and I want the highest possible quality. I captured to an uncompressed avi file 352x240 with virtualdub, and I used TMPGenc, VCD template and highest quality(very slow), and I wasn't quite satisfied with the results. Is there any way to get a better quality VCD. I don't care how long it takes!

    you can make an xvcd or svcd.

  3. in tmpeg on settings you can reduce ghosting ..improve sound..sharpen edge..ect...just click on advanced tab

    VCD is all CBR fixed, so there's not a lot of choices except for filter. Oh yeah, the highest precision doens't help any, just makes the encode longer, #2 is just fine.
